As a top-tier celebrity with a massive fan following, having your social media accounts hacked is almost like some strange, arbitrary rite of passage.
Trap music VIP 2 Chainz unfortunately became the next victim of this ritual on Tuesday (July 3) when someone seized his Twitter and blasted out a string of obnoxious tweets. Amid other abominable statements, they mainly took aim at the “I'm Different” rapper’s industry counterparts such as Brooklyn rapper Tekashi6ix9ine and global hip-hop star Drake, whom the hacker made repugnantly sexual comments about.
Thankfully, Twitter’s general population had enough sense to know that the tweets were nothing more than an account hijack and immediately reported them. Some of his loyal followers even threw on their detective hat and discovered who they believe is the hacking perp. Nonetheless, the tweets fortunately didn’t stay up for too long, and Tity Boi has since addressed the shenanigans.
His message to the culprit was quite simple: it’s 2018, guys. Time to grow up.
