Chicago emcee Lupe Fiasco has had enough of hip-hop podcaster Joe Budden ducking and dodging their Street Fighter game war, and he’s taking to the streets of Instagram to hilariously call him out for it.
It’s been a long time coming since Joey suggested back in 2016 that not only could he take Lupe in the game of hip-hop, but also on the game controllers in the digital fighting video game series originated in 1987. The two went toe-to-toe (or keyboard-to-keyboard, rather) on Twitter, as the "Kick, Push" rapper challenged him to the game but was met with surrender from the “Pump It Up” rapper, who said Lupe “been scared of Mouse lol Street Fighter and rapping.”
Sparked by a pensive photo of Joe on Instagram, Lupe roasted him in the comments section in yet another move of I Declare War—Street Fighter-style. “This n**ga sitting on this ultra modern balcony enjoying a p**sy summer breeze with the sock shoes staring off into distance looking at nothing when he could be looking at these HANDS!” he wrote under Joe’s flick. “Stop the ducking Joe!” Joey’s 2016 words have come back to bite him it seems, as Lupe refuses
“You can go back to gazing into the heart of clarity once you catch these L’s…”
Well, Joey, since you were the one to call him out, it’s only right that you allow Lupe to settle the score, and especially now that (controller) shots have been fired.
See Lupe pull out the fists in his summon for Joe in their long overdue Street Fighter match-up in the post below.
