Despite canceling her guest appearance on Bruno Mars’ tour, received warmly by the master funkateer, Cardi B is getting this whole motherhood thing with her newborn baby girl, Kulture Kiari Cephus, down pat pretty smoothly.
The Bronx femcee is constantly keeping her fans updated on the status of her new bond, including all of the ups and downs she’s experienced after only three weeks of Kulture’s arrival. But in the midst of her clapback to a pair of Instagrammers critiquing her choice to drop out of Bruno’s tour and disapproved of the maternally instinctual decision, Cardi revealed that her separation anxiety from baby Kulture is tougher than most think.
As she’ll have him know, Cardi is still keeping the dollar signs running while handling mommy duties—Bruno tour or not. Another user popped up with suggestions to quit responding to naysayers on Instagram, but the Invasion of Privacy artist reminded him of her free internet speech rights as well. “If this is a post about ME and the person is talking about ME and trying to say my child is not worth a tour then it is my business…” she said.
After a little back and forth with the Instagrammer, a true Bardi Gang fan showed up to defend her too, adding that after six weeks of giving birth with a body that hasn’t fully recovered, no one should be judging her for her decision to step down from Bruno’s tour. Cardi seconded that, elaborating that “new mommy syndrome is real,” and only the mothers out there will understand.
“You literally have to have a baby to understand you wouldn’t understand it even if the baby inside of you,” she wrote. “I went to the dentist today and I wanted to cry cause I was missing my daughter.”
