R&B icon Chris Brown is beefing up his defense in a sexual assault case stemming from a May incident where an unnamed woman claimed that she was raped and held hostage at his California residence.

Brown was only named as a defendant in the lawsuit, according to a New York Times report stating that the woman’s allegations held his close friend and partner of his OHB collective Lowell Grissom Jr. responsible for the rape. Thus, Breezy and his team believes it’s only right that he be completely removed from the lawsuit. The Blast reports that he’s got a handful of defenses to support this request too, including the woman’s own testimony and what was going down in the privacy of his chambers at the time of the alleged assault.

  1. The Blast reportedly uncovered the details of Brown’s response to the alleged victim from court documents

In them, the site continues, Breezy maintains that he’s not personally responsible for any harm done to her as she never stated in the claims that he harmed her, let alone touched her, nor did he threaten or pose violence against her either. Not to mention, Breezy had been “occupied with pornography and performing sexual acts with women” elsewhere, The Blast reports of his defense, totally removed from the room where the woman’s alleged sexual assault occurred.

  2. Still, the Jane Doe believes that he’s at least partly responsible for the alleged attack according to her side of things

The woman reportedly claims Brown “facilitated” the alleged incident, presumably since she claims it happened at his residence and likely his affiliation with Grissom Jr. But while investigators work to solidify the case in court, The Blast concludes that the “Tempo” crooner is calling for his removal of the lawsuit immediately.
