The OTR II tour stop had an unexpected surprise guest.

Jay-Z and Beyonce got a surprise they probably weren’t expecting last night (August 25).

  1. During their OTR II tour stop in Atlanta, the power couple made an exit after they performed their single “APESHIT.” It was then that a crazy fan rushed the stage and attempted to follow the two backstage.

After finding out what was going on, backup dancers and other on-stage performers chased down the man. Security also got involved, which had fans in the audience wondering if a fight broke out backstage.

According to TMZ, the fan has been identified as Anthony Charles Thomas Maxwell. He was reportedly issued a citation for disorderly conduct but was not jailed.

Beyonce’s publicist Yvette Noel-Schure reacted to the incident on Instagram and says her artist and Hov are both OK. “@beyonce and JAY-Z on stage tonight in Atlanta,” she wrote. “Thank you to all the fans for your concern. They are fine and looking forward to the show tomorrow.”

Sheeesh. That was scary for a moment. Luckily everyone is ok. See video of what went down below.
