Lauryn Hill is in the middle of her 20th anniversary tour for the iconic "Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" album. However, there is already drama. Nas and Santigold were supposed to be on the tour, but they are no longer on the rooster even after fans bought tickets.
They were supposed to perform in Portland, Oregon, but the two weren't in attendance.
When fans tweeted, Santigold, she responded on Twitter, "I’m sorry you paid to see us and we’re not there. That really bums me out. I’m also bummed that @MsLaurynHill and crew didn’t tell ppl why we’re not there. She took us off the bill."
She also said her show was canceled because of production issues, "Note I saw from @MsLaurynHill Mgmt team read... 'Due to production issues, The Miseducation 20th Anniversary Tour is unable to accommodate Santigold’s performance this evening.'"
She added that the tour organizers decided "to reduce the support."
I will no longer be performing on The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill Tour at the following dates due to the tour organizers' decision to reduce the support. So sorry to disappoint my fans.— Santigold (@Santigold) September 15, 2018
9/14: Vancouver, BC
9/15: Seattle, WA
9/22: Phoenix, AZ
9/26: Denver, CO
Nas has not responded to the cancellations.
Lauryn's latest tour has gotten some backlash after she showed up extremely late to a performance in Toronto and has already canceled multiple North American tour dates.
