Lil Wayne Fires Back At This Reporter And Eli Manning Over Odell Beckham Jr. Interview

"You probably need to bang some Carter V with the way you been playing..."

Published October 9, 2018

Amid thanking fans for their tremendous support over his highly-anticipated Tha Carter V release, Lil Wayne sat with NY Giants wide-receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Josina Anderson in a recent interview. Weezy and OBJ sat down with ESPN this past Sunday, (Oct. 7) where the NFL phenom discussed "going to war" with his teammates and wanting to build relationships to pinpoint who they are when the uniform comes off.

He discussed his 5-year extension with the Giants and "not being given the opportunity to be the very best he can," but also threw subtle jabs at Manning. "I feel like I'm being outschemed," OBJ continued.

  1. Despite the "No Worries" emcee appering jaded during the interview, a post-interview tweet let the public know that things were good.
  2. However, Wayne's appearance seemed to have many confused, irrate or simply humored.

Sports journalist, Frank Isola stated, "Lil Wayne should be sitting next to Beckham when OBJ explains the screw up on the punt." NY Giants quarterback, Eli Manning spoke to NFL Insider, Ralph Vacchiano about the interview, "I don’t watch Lil Wayne much.”

So, Weezy addressed all the backlash in a hilarious PSA on Tuesday (Oct. 9). In spite of actually rocking with Isola, he has one request for the reporter: "keep my name out of your mouth. When that happens, I'm gonna fire back at you... I don't know much about you and fact is, you don't know much about me. With that said, keep my name out your mouth," he replied. "Frank, you should know that was edited. It was a real great interview. She asked me some things that made me open up as well. We probably wouldn't answer your questions if you were on the other side of the table."

  3. As far as Manning is concerned, Weezy admitted he's the first to stop any slander about the veteran in his presence, but his response was uncalled for.

"I don't care what you watch, what you listen or nothing like that, but you ain't got to do me like that. I f**ks with you, and you ain't got to watch much of me, but listen... if you could," said Tunechi. "You probably need to, though... with the way you been playing. You probably need to bang some Carter V before a game... just a suggestion."
