The R&B songstress firstly believes that the entire relationship between Trump and Kanye needs to be reassessed. However, with the rumored White House meeting coming up between the Chicago rapper and former reality television star, there’s much more harm than good coming from such gatherings, she explained.
Especially “if we aren’t all speaking together in the right places, making the right decisions, doing it the right.” For her, the issue is not that Kanye’s making an effort for a peaceful relationship with Trump. But, she said, he’s gone about it in such a conflicting, divisive way that people aren’t able to comprehend the intent beneath his objectives.
Monica seconds her fellow ATLien T.I.’s sentiments, who she believes said it best: “some of what is being said is important,” she said. “But is he the president to help us create all of this change? I don’t think so.”
