This West Coast Icon "Doesn't Necessarily Agree" That Eazy-E Died From AIDS

Um, sir...

Unless you're a budding neophyte of today's hip-hop culture, it's safe to assume that you know N.W.A. founding member, Eazy-E died from AIDS-related complications. Yet, in a newly surfaced interview with Page Six, California legend Too $hort revealed that he doesn't believe this to be factual.

While celebrating his forthcoming project, The Pimp Tape at the Sapphire Gentleman's Club, he reminisced on a memory of how Eazy "was the person to take me on my first tour," and "after the show, Eazy-E would go places . . . chasing women. Eazy was my homie. We ran together, we did the strip clubs.”

  • He, then, admitted that he didn't believe his highly publicized cause of death.

Abruptly following by saying, “I don’t really want to get into that right now. But that is not how I think it happened." $hort, eerily switched gears to discuss Eazy's legacy. "If you had no Eazy-E, you got no NWA, no Dr. Dre, no Ice Cube, no Tupac Death Row years . . . no Bone Thugs. No Aftermath, no 50 Cent, no Eminem — the way we know them. The branch that is called Eazy-E on the hip-hop tree is massive."

Well, he has a point in terms of his legacy, but this conspiracy theory needs a more detailed explanation.
