Kanye West has been under extensive scrunity since his bromance with Donald Trump began. Despite his glorious catalog of hits, most have written him off... and for good reason. After the disastrous visit at the White House last month, the once-legendary Chi-town emcee has been on an active journey to reclaiming his spotlight.
Some have said the "old Ye" is making a comeback and the GOOD Music founder, himself, even admitted to be "out of the sunken place." However, the internet is taking all of this with a grain of salt.
Being one of many who almost lost their own home in the fire, his wife, Kim Kardashian went on Ellen to share the good news. Kim stated the “Stronger” emcee sprang into action after having a “serious conversation” about the wildfire aftermath. He, along with Adidas and the Yeezy brand, raised the funds.
$200K will go to the California Community Foundation's Wildfire Relief Fund as well as the California Fire Foundation. The West’s are gifting $100K to a firefighter and his family who lost his home, but still assisted and saved the homes of others.
While this may not dismiss his recent political controversy, this is a step in the right direction. Kudos, Ye.
