Keyshia Cole To R. Kelly’s Victims Parents: ‘Your Child Is Your Responsibility!’

"I've seen it happen to someone close to me..."

Oakland R&B singer-songwriter Keyshia Cole is seconding Master P’s statements with regard to the resurfacing sex crimes of Chicago’s disgraced R&B crooner R. Kelly: hold the parents responsible, too.

In a series of responsive tweets, the Woman to Woman artist clarified that she wasn’t absolving Kelly himself of his actions, but there needs to be some accountability held up against his victims’ parents as well. Her priority (at least until the child turns 18) is protecting her own, something she suggests the parents fell short of and even recalls one mother refusing to do in exchange for her own pockets. And despite some of the backlash she’s received from the comments that started on Instagram in The Shade Room, Keyshia didn’t back down in the face of the Twitterverse either.
