The devastating news about Jussie Smollett broke the hearts of his fans and industry-mates. The openly gay Empire star and soulful crooner was attacked by two white supremacists around 2 a.m. yesterday morning in Chicago. The assailants reportedly shouted, "this is MAGA country" and "aren't you that fa***t Empire ni**er?" During the ambush, Smollett fractured a rib, but did fight back. He has since been discharged, and the attack has been labeled a hate crime that is being investigated by the FBI.

Several Hollywood stars spoke out against the heinous crime and also send their love to Smollett. Southern rap icon T.I. was one of the first to pen a passionate message in light of the brutal attack, and more of his musical comrades have also done the same. Below, you can read their loving thoughts and join us in praying for the emotional, physical and mental healing of Jussie.
