The 29-year-old held steady to his innocence throughout the case, declaring to his social media followers that the rape never happened and that the woman was flat-out lying. His release thereafter only supported his position after French investigators failed to find evidence of the woman’s claims to hold him behind bars any longer than they already had. After flipping the unfortunate legal situation to his benefit with some new Team Breezy merch, the Heartbreak on a Full Moon singer is now reaffirming his innocence and current state of mind in a new video that shows his 2019 Paris trip gone horribly wrong.
He spent time greeting fans, visiting the Eiffel Tower, clubbing, rehearsing and sightseeing around the City of Lights before the video comes to a screeching halt and crash. From there, overlapping audio breaks in from several news anchors announcing news of his arrest in Paris on the rape allegations. "My mom and grandma always said: 'The Lord can give you a gift and he can take it away,'" Breezy begins in his address. "And I feel like I don't have to explain any bullsh** or any lies somebody's perpetrating or portraying me as." The melancholic music fades out and Breezy's uptempo track returns as he ends his statement, explaining that he still stayed in Paris to finish working despite the legal setback.
