R. Kelly Reportedly Went To McDonald’s After Being Released From Jail

Truly cringeworthy.

Published February 26th

R. Kelly’s release from Cook County Jail on Monday (February 25) sparked divided reactions from national news viewers across the world and the internet alike.

Previous reports held that the alleged sexual predator failed to post his $1 million bond and was likely to be held behind bars in the interim. News of the bond prompted remaining fans to organize GoFundMe accounts in the name of Kelly’s freedom, which was swiftly returned with reports and complaints filed to the crowdfunding service over the fundraisers. To the dismay of many, Kelly was eventually granted freedom after posting bond and released into a riotous fray of reporters, cameras, paparazzi and rooting fans. As reported by the Associated Press, Kelly also signed autographs and waved back at his supporters. Afterward, Kelly departed in a black SUV and headed to a downtown Chicago McDonald’s where he continued interacting with fans.

But according to attorney Michael Avenatti, Kelly’s pit stop could land him in the midst of much more than the flock of adoring fans who captured him there.

  1. Several outlets captured the rowdy footage of the moments following Kelly’s bail release
  2. Afterward, his McDonald’s visit hit the internet as well…

... where Kelly smiled and sat among cheerful fans and members of his team.

  3. Avenatti pointed out, however, that the Mickey D’s location is all too familiar for Kelly and also illegal now considering the terms of his bail

“Upon being released from jail on bond, R Kelly promptly went to the same McDonalds that he preyed on underage girls at for years and proceeded to meet and take pictures with underage girls in violation of his bail conditions,” Avenatti wrote on Twitter.

The attorney also released a statement on Kelly’s recently uncovered sex footage involving a 14-year-old girl, which he’s since submitted to prosecutors on his case and is confident will be the smoking gun to convict Kelly on his sexual abuse charges indefinitely.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on Kelly’s post-bail developments as they become available.
