Pop songstress Ariana Grande is keeping the spirit of late and beloved rapper-producer Mac Miller alongside his devout fans with none other than a reminder of his musical legacy for her Sweetener World Tour.

Ari graced New York’s Times Union Center for the first stop of the world tour on Monday (March 18) as hordes of fans filed into the venue awaiting the pop princess to hit the stage. To their delight, attendees were greeted with a playlist of records to vibe out to during their wait, and to their surprise, one of them was Mac’s Anderson .Paak-assisted “Dang!” track of 2016.

Her nod to the Swimming artist was appropriately fitting for most fans though, especially considering Ariana and Mac’s relationship. After dating for about two years, the former love birds split but remained close friends up until Mac’s untimely 2018 death. The “thank u, next” singer has since honored his legacy via musical tributes, never-before-seen photos and loving words for him.

But nothing is jerking the internet’s tears like her most recent ode to him.
