A New R. Kelly Song Just Leaked, And Here's What He Had To Say On It...
R. Kelly is currently “fighting for [his] f*****g life” in court right now, but apparently, the music he confirmed in the works is slowly but surely making its way to the internet.
According to theJasmineBRAND, a song by the disgraced R&B singer has been leaked. Titled “When I Think Of Home,” Kells employs inspiration from Stephanie Mills’ “Home” from the 1975 Broadway musical The Wiz. Apparently, the song was recorded a while back.
On the track, R. Kelly begins by thanking his hometown Chicago. “When I think of home I think of a place where there are die hard fans that love me / And whenever I’m out of town, no matter where I go you know that I’ve got to represent the C.
“When I think of home, I think of a place where there’s babies made to my music,” he continues later in the song. “When it comes to support showing Kellz some love – Chicago- y’all really know how to do it.”
Chicago has been the epicenter of R. Kelly’s latest legal battles though. It’s where he was indicted on sexual abuse charges and the location of his studio, which was raided by investigators shortly after the Lifetime docu-series Surviving R. Kelly aired.
