Nipsey Hussle’s Bodyguard Made A Heartbreaking Announcement Following His Death

"I'm done wit all this sh**..."

Published April 3rd

The painful loss of beloved hip-hop artist and community altruist Nipsey Hussle is still piercing deeply in the hearts of those close to him, especially one of the people who spent close time with Nipsey in a literal sense: his bodyguard, J Roc.

Regrettably, J Roc announced that he’s throwing in the towel on his security career now that the Victory Lap icon is no longer with us — and can’t seem to shake the fact that he’s gone. “Never in a million years I thought I would be writing some sh** like this,” he wrote in his Instagram post dedicated to Nipsy. The mournful post highlighted some of J Roc’s best memories with him and the ones he planned on making in their future together, which have grievously disappeared, too. But his thoughts on Nipsey’s tragic shooting death may be the sorest spot of all in J Roc’s tribute.

  1. ‘We was suppose to grow old and I call you big nose shoot jokes on you all day,’ he wrote in the post

“But instead I’m here in tears writing this I wish I was here I would switch places with you any day the world need you here I’m so confused, lost, hurt…”

Nipsey played a huge role much larger than rap in the lives of so many, J Roc acknowledged, including a brother, best friend and mentor. The words of Nipsey still echo in his head, he wrote, in which he’d say to J Roc, “N**ga, live your life and grow.”

  2. But despite retiring from his position as a bodyguard, he still pledged to always protect the love of Nipsey's life, Lauren London, and their babies

“I got the babies and L forever,” he continued. “I’m done with all this sh** I retired from being a bodyguard I love you HUSSLE THA GREAT.”

  3. Prayers are still flying high for Nipsey’s family, friends, fans and entire camp during this time.
