50 Cent's Nipsey Hussle Tribute On Instagram Might Bring You To Tears

“Whenever I get quiet it’s because I don’t understand it.”

After checking a fan for pressing him about a Nipsey Hussle tribute on Instagram, 50 Cent is now ready to speak his piece on the heart-crushing death of the Victory Lap rapper and community altruist.

The Queens rap and industry biz mogul was noticeably silent amid hip-hop’s mournful outcry last Sunday (March 31), the day of Nipsey’s tragic passing. Always an avid Instagrammer, Fif was still active on social media, prompting fans such as the aforementioned to question his relationship with the late West Coast hip-hop angel. He made it clear that he’d share his thoughts when he was ready, however, and Wednesday (April 3) became that day.

  1. For his tribute, Fif handpicked memorable moments with Nipsey Hussle, beginning with NBA icon Steph Curry

Nipsey was Curry’s passenger seat guest star back in July 2018 for a video segment titled “5 Minutes From Home With Stephen Curry.” The two shared conversations on hip-hop, fatherhood and sports among other relatable topics for the two. In the clip, the “Hussle & Motivate” rapper saluted Fif for his investment in VitaminWater, an extension of Coca-Cola Company’s Energy Brands subsidiary.

  2. In the second clip, Nipsey references 50 again with respects to album sales history

This teachable moment came from Nipsey’s conversation on Hip-Hop DX’s “Soulful Sundays.”

  3. ‘Man I really liked Nipsey,’ he captioned his tribunal video…

Fif admitted that it’s hard for him to express the grief around Nipsey’s death simply because the reality of it is still unbelievable. “Whenever I get quiet it’s because I don’t understand,” he wrote. “R.I.P.”

BET will continue to honor, remember and respect the legacy of Ermias Asghedom.
