50 Cent is not here for Kanye's fashion sense.
Recently the Queens native took to his favorite roasting place — a.k.a. Instagram — to go in on fellow rapper Kanye West. While a Cent vs. West feud is no new hip-hop battle, this time Fif had plenty to say about Ye's wardrobe picks while out in public.
Reposting a photo of Yeezy rocking a grey shirt, trousers and plimsoll shoes, the Power actor wasted no time going in on the Life of Pablo artist's attire.
"Welp, now I know I’m not a style icon, [but] I’m definitely not wearing that s**t,” he wisecracked. “LOL GET THE F**K OUTTA HERE MAN!"
50 Cent continued to speak negatively on Ye's choice in neutrals, further expressing his distaste for the outfit in his own comments section. “What in the ‘spare some change’ type s**t is this…” he continued. “No this is not a rich n***a Vibe. I’m out ok I’m gone.”
Among those to respond in 50's comments were actor and producer Nick Cannon, who replied by saying, "You don't get it OG!! He f***ing with us!"
Back in 2013, 50 opened up in an interview about Kanye's rants about being dismissed and overlooked as a designer within the fashion industry landscape. The Animal Ambition rapper pointed out that high-end designers don't normally embrace hip-hop artists into their space, and that Kanye's on-air tantrums with radio personality Sway Calloway wasn't going to change that.
“[It's] the same way they didn't embrace [Lil] Wayne immediately in skateboard culture,” Fif said. “The people who do it, do it. So they're passionate about it and they're like 'Wait, you're tryna look like us?' They don't wanna embrace it at first... Communication with Sway is not gonna adjust that."
Welp! We all know that when it comes to opinions, 50 is no stranger to giving his two cents.
