Madonna Finally Speaks Out About The Controversial Michael Jackson ‘Leaving Neverland’ Documentary

“Sometimes people lie…”

Looks like the Queen of Pop is still a loyalist to the late, King of Pop.
In a recent interview with British Vogue, which Madonna also stars on the cover, the singer opens up about the latest dialogue focused around late singer and former friend, Michael Jackson
Despite the newest MJ-centered documentary Leaving Neverland reopening conversation around Jackson's past allegations of child sexual abuse, Madge is sticking to her own opinion based off her experience with the Thriller artist.

  • “I don’t have a lynch-mob mentality, so in my mind, people are innocent until proven guilty," Madonna told the magazine, according to excerpts pulled from the June publication by The Independent.
The Madame X artist continued, “I’ve had a thousand accusations hurled at me that are not true. So my attitude when people tell me things about people is, ‘Can you prove it?'"
After admitting she hasn't seen the doc, which stars two of Jackson's accusers, James Safechuck and Wade Robson, recounting the alleged assault, the mother of six was asked what she thinks the HBO special is about.

“I guess it would be people recounting actual events – but then, of course, people sometimes lie. So I always say, ‘What’s the agenda? What do people want out of this? Are there people asking for money, is there some kind of extortion thing happening?’ I would take all of those things into consideration," Madonna answered.

  • On the discussion of whether or not she plans to see the documentary at any point in time, the 60-year-old singer revealed she's not totally against the idea.
“I guess I’ll get around to seeing it [but] I haven’t seen it yet.”

Looks like Madge is team MJ, all day.
