And so, the marathon continues...

The premiere of Nipsey Hussle's posthumous video "Higher," starring DJ Khaled and John Legend is here, and needless to say, it's the talk of Twitter.

  1. The single is part of Khaled's latest album efforts Father of Asahd, which debuted at midnight today (May 17). Just prior to the release of the visuals, Khaled took to his Twitter to reveal that not only had he and Hussle shot the shortly before the rapper's untimely passing, but that 100% of the proceeds would be going to Nip's children, Emani and Kross.

"Just days prior, he (Nipsey) shared his energy and positivity with me on a video set for a song called, "Higher." After much prayer and reflection; and with the full blessing of the Asghedom family, I am sharing that moment with the world," the renowned, Roc Nation DJ kicked off.

"The very title of the song reminds us that vibrating on a "Higher" level was the essence of Nipsey's soul. It is in this spirit, of moving forward, of preserving his mission that I, my co-writers, producers and label partners are donating 100% of all our proceeds from "Higher" to Nipsey's children, Emani and Kross," the producer concluded.

  2. The bittersweet debut of Hussle's last known music video efforts has left many with a sense of comfort and angst, as most fans commented that the visuals and lyrics felt both a mix of omnipotent and omnipresent.

The late hip hop philanthropist was sure to shout out his entire immediate family on "Higher,", a clip that even Nipsey's longtime partner Lauren London was compelled to share on social media:

"Los Angeles love, kinda like Hussle Boog. (E)mani turned 10. Kross turned 2. Starting to see this life shi*t from a bird's view..."

  3. Fans raced to Twitter to react to the release of the video:

  4. The visuals for "Higher" was cut three days before Hussle's death, Billboard reports.
