After catching some heat online when his comments rubbed folks the wrong way, Breezy returned to his Instagram Stories to clear the air.
Between Thursday evening (June 13) and Friday morning (June 14), CB set the record straight. He stated that he was actually hacked, and whoever the culprit was has been sending DMs and comments to his followers under a faux Breezy guise.
"People going out they way," he wrote. "Leave them people alone and stop creating unnecessary drama! Whoever's been DM any of my followers or commenting as me is lame ASF."
To back up his claims, Chris shared a fake passport sent to him on Facebook by someone pretending to be him.
His clarification came just hours after the initial comments that split the internet into #TeamBreezy and #TeamKarrueche. As seen in Cruz's comments section, the R&B singer appeared to leave some off-the-cuff remarks on a photo of Cruz and Kay.
"He look like he shopping off the [mannequin] and trying to bargain wit the sales manager," one of the comments read. "Retired wrestler spanks. IM F**KING AROUND...[God] bless."
As pointed out by The Shade Room, Breezy deleted the comments shortly after.
Now that he's stepped up with his side of the messy Instagram fiasco story, the internet is divided yet again over whether there's truth to his claims.
