Yung Miami Speaks Out After Harrowing Car Shooting In Miami
Tuesday morning (Aug. 6), distressing yet unofficial reports emerged online that City Girls rapper Yung Miami was shot at as she was leaving a recording studio in North Miami a little past midnight. The reports broke after videos of Miami explaining what had happened to the police were published by gossip blog The Neighborhood Talk on their Instagram.
A spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department confirmed with BET.com that Miami was in her red Mercedes G-Wagon when she was suddenly shot at “multiple times” from behind by an unknown assailant. Thankfully, nobody was injured during the shooting. The police have now launched an official investigation into the incident.
Concern has continued to flood in from all across social media for Miami, who is currently pregnant with her second child, while fans wait for an official update on the situation. As BET.com reported yesterday, the police have decided not to issue any public statements regarding the shooting while their probe into the situation is still ongoing.
On Tuesday night (August 6), Miami spoke about the shooting for the first time since the news of the incident came out. Taking to Instagram, the rapper penned a message to her followers to let them know that she was OK following the shooting.
"Thank you everyone for your expression of sympathy, prayers & condolences. Me and baby summer is perfectly fine."
In the caption of her post, Miami expressed her love and thanked the people who had privately reached out to her to check on her well-being.
