Houston, we almost had a major problem. Hot Girl Summer was nearly canceled by one LAPD cop, but in true Hottie fashion, Megan Thee Stallion didn’t let the situation ruin the show.

  1. Megan, Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign were reportedly on set and ready to film when the Los Angeles Police Department reportedly shut the video shoot down mid-production. TMZ reported that the LAPD put a stop to the rising rapper’s shoot for “Hot Girl Summer” because the production team didn’t secure the proper permit to film the video in Hollywood Hills. They were reportedly filming inside a house within the Mount Olympus neighborhood when a neighbor called the cops on them.

Just when it seemed like "Hot Girl Summer" had been put on ice, Megan’s team came in a clutch with some last minute improvisation. They were able to secure a new spot to film 50 miles away in Chino Hills.

  2. So far, no release date has been revealed but TMZ’s sources said that the anthem’s music video is dropping soon, and right on time as intended, despite the hiccup.

They said the video looked like it was epically wild. Megan already had the internet sweating bullets when she dropped the Nicki Minaj-assisted song, and based on TMZ’s sources, the video might send fans into a total meltdown.

  3. Megan has already given us a taste of what’s in store. On Saturday (Aug. 10), she posted a photo of her and Nick twinning in neon lime striped outfits that had their full assets on display. Per TMZ’s sources, Megan also lined up some pretty wild cameos but didn’t reveal much else.

The 24-year-old has been dropping tidbits here and there on Instagram. She recently uploaded a bunch of behind-the-scenes clips and photos teasing a link up between some of rap and R&B’s current leading ladies.

Summer Walker, Dreezy, Ari Lennox, Rico NastyDaniLeigh and Lala Anthony were all on deck to “drive the boat” and have some D'usse-induced summer fun on what appeared to be the same set that Megan and Nicki filmed at. No new cameos have been confirmed, but the proof is practically in the Hennessy-flavored pudding.

In the words of the Hot Girl Summer ringleader, just know it’s going to be some real hot girl sh*t. Check out the photos Megan shared from her on-set escapades below.
