Houston rapstress Megan Thee Stallion sat down for an interview with JAM'N 94.5 before she took the stage at their annual Summer Jam music festival yesterday (Sept. 8). The 24-year-old spoke about how she’s living out the rest of her Hot Girl Summer on top of taking college courses online and answered whether she’s down, per Hotties' request, to make fall Thotumn season.
While she had the Fever rapper in the hot seat, radio host Ashlee asked Meg for her thoughts on Nicki Minaj’s recent comments that she was bowing out of the rap game.
Last week, the “Queen” rapper had fans shook when she abruptly announced that she was taking a step back from music to start a family with her beau, Kenneth Petty. Like many others that have previously chimed in, Meg doesn’t think Nicki is entirely done with rap.
“I just think she just talking right now," she continued.
While on the subject of Meg and Nicki’s recent link up for “Hot Girl Summer,” the radio host also checked Megan’s pulse for how she was feeling towards some fans' mixed reactions to Nicki’s twerking in the pool party-themed visual.
“Friend, I don’t be looking at the bad stuff,” Meg declared. The femcee capped off her sentiments with a salute to her HGS collaborator, whom she called “an amazing lyricist.”
“She's an amazing lyricist, so her twerking doesn't have nothing to do with her music."
