People are demanding answers after they awoke to the shocking news of Joshua Brown’s death last week. The 28-year-old was reportedly shot and killed in front of his apartment complex Friday night (Oct. 4) 10 days after he testified in the murder trial against former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger.
Brown lived across the hall from Bothem Jean and testified about the night he was killed by Guyger. So far, the authorities have yet to identify a suspect or motive for the shooting.
Incensed calls for action and swift justice have rung out across social media in the ensuing days since.
T.I. and OutKast’s Big Boi both hit Instagram on Sunday (Oct. 6) with their take on the shocking development. The ATLien shared an article on Brown’s death with his 1.2 million followers on the social platform. He cryptically captioned the post with the thinking emoji.
T.I., however, had a much more critical outlook on the tragic incident. The trap pioneer unloaded his exact thoughts and where he stood on the situation. Tip cast doubt that Brown’s shooting death happened by chance just days after he testified against Guyger.
A photo of Brown with the header above that read, “Joshua Brown, 28, was assassinated in Dallas, TX,” accompanied the caption.
“[We] CAN NOT allow US to just breeze by this,” the rapper-turned-podcaster began, with a call for people to spiritually arm themselves. “WE ARE AT WAR PEOPLE!!️ Prepare yourself and your children to PROTECT US!!️”
He continued: “This isn’t a coincidence... EVIL Is AT Work.... [Satan] himself is in the mix of this s**t. BE AWARE‼️” he cautioned. “There I said it... so if something happens to me...ain’t no forgiveness.”
