For the first time in two decades, Robyn Crawford has broken her silence on her long-rumored relationship with Whitney Houston. After remaining silent for the last few years since legendary songstress’ tragic death, Crawford is finally opening up about the special bond she shared with Houston, of whom she was not only a dear friend, but also her former lover as detailed in her newly released memoir, A Song For You: My Life With Whitney Houston.
And now, Crawford will sit down with one of the best and most insightful interviewers on the waves today, Jada Pinkett Smith on the Red Table Talk. Crawford will appear on Monday’s new episode to discuss her relationship with Houston.
As a close friend and confident to one of the world’s most gifted vocalists, Crawford was exposed to the many facets of Houston that not many others were privy to. BET Digital got an exclusive preview of the episode before it drops on Facebook Watch. Robyn Crawford has a lot of things to say about Houston, and it’s time we listened.
“Whitney was one of a few words although her mouth could go and you could not keep up with her ‘cause she loved girl talk,” Robyn Crawford told Jada as the two burst into a fit of giggles. “She would love this, this Red Table [Talk]. She’d be sitting in the middle right there, and it would’ve been great for her, too.”
On Monday’s full episode, Robyn will open up about “the closely guarded truth” of her and Whitney’s relationship as well as her own marriage. Watch a preview of the episode below.
