It goes without saying that Mariah Carey is the undisputed Queen of Christmas. The legendary chanteuse changed the game with her timeless holiday tune, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” and years later, the smash hit is still ringing in the music world’s holiday cheer.

  1. The critically acclaimed record has remained a staple on many people’s winter playlists since its release 25 years ago. In celebration of the wintery jingle’s enduring legacy, Amazon has announced that they’re releasing an original documentary series, appropriately titled Mariah Carey Is Christmas!, that will delve into the story behind Mimi’s hallmark Christmas classic.

  2. The tech giant announced the news on Wednesday (Dec. 4) in a trailer of the special, which they published to the official Amazon Music YouTube channel. Based on the series’ preview, the docu-series will feature commentary from Carey herself and a roster of music insiders, including renowned producer Randy Jackson, Variety music editor Shirley Halperin, music executive Gary Trust and singer Trey Lorenz

  3. “I just remember where I was coming from [and] wanting it to feel like a classic,” Mimi reminisced in a preview clip obtained by the Pop Crave Twitter account. “I said, ‘Let me try and get into the Christmas spirit.' … I started writing and changing a Christmas song into a love song back into a Christmas song and kind of making it all one thing.”
