T.I. Pens Letter To His Daughters Amid Kobe Bryant’s Death: ‘Please Forgive Me…’

“I just can't let another second go by without letting you know while we're still here in this life together.”

The untimely loss of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant, has continued to weigh heavily on the minds of many who looked up to the NBA superstar and global icon.

  • The world’s tidal wave of emotions have flooded social media since the devastating news broke of the fatal helicopter crash that left multiple families devastated along with the Bryants.

That includes a number of Hollywood’s biggest stars and sports icons, who are paying tribute to the five-time NBA champion in remembrance of his illustrious career, including LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal, Ice Cube and Jennifer Lopez. Alongside his accolades, longtime supporters and friends of Bryant have highlighted the love and care that he showered on his wife, Vanessa Bryant, and their four daughters. For some, it's been a somber wake-up call to be mindful that we embrace and cherish our loved ones, for we don’t know when death will come to claim them.

  • In a moving tribute to his family, Atlanta trap icon T.I. took to social media where he penned a series of heartfelt messages dedicated to his family to remind them how much he cherishes them in the wake of the horrific tragedy.

The first post was devoted to his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, where he saluted their union and thanked Tiny for her endless devotion and support.

“I love you Mrs H,” he began in the caption along with several photos of the pair from over the years. “I know I've had my moments, but...despite all my shortcomings [and] transgressions, the fact remains..You Give me a thousand choices [and] I'd choose you every time. I couldn't imagine living in a world without you...or leaving you and the kids to have to live without me. I'm determined to make you happy by any means necessary.”

  • Tip continued his sentiments in messages dedicated to his kids accompanied by photos. In his next post, the Grand Hustle honcho penned touching words to his daughters, Deyjah Harris and Zonnique Pullins, where he confessed, “I love you girls more than my vocabulary will allow me to express.”

“You have grown so much right before my very eyes [and] blossomed into strong, brilliantly opinionated, independent young women,” he praised his daughters. “I'm so proud of you both and I love you to no end, more than you'll ever know.”

He further asked his daughters to “please forgive [him] for any and all imperfections that cause misunderstandings between us,” adding “you'll NEVER find yourself in a place too high or low for me to be there to catch you when you fall...I just can't let another second go by without letting you know while we're still here in this life together.”

  • T.I. concluded his thoughts with a separate post for his sons, King, Heiress, Major, Messiah, and Domani, wherein he highlighted that “each somehow represent different parts of me that you've made your own.”

“I'm impressed by your growth & maturity [and am] honored to lead, guide and direct you as you learn to master your destiny,” he said, with the promise that “regardless of our discrepancies [and] misunderstandings, trust and believe I’ll do any and everything possible to help you perfect your gifts.”
