In a string of targeted scammer attacks, Bhad Bhabie nearly fell victim to one, but luckily she became privy to it before things got out of hand.
According to a TMZ report, her team was contacted by individuals in Hong Kong, who claimed they were reaching out to her from the office of famous Chinese billionaire, Peter Woo.
They offered to pay the 16-year-old some serious coins for a hosting gig at a charity event for trafficking survivors in Hong Kong. According to the copy of the agreement letter obtained by the outlet, Bhabie would be afforded a private jet, a private chauffeur, a $10,000 wardrobe budget, and luxury housing accommodations for the duration of the trip.
Her team told TMZ the warning bells started going off after the alleged scammers wanted Bhabie to cash a $450,000 check, and then wire $300,000 back to them. Their suspicions were soon confirmed after they were then directed to a website for Peter Woo Philanthropies. The “Cash Me Ousside” teen and her team quickly noticed that the website was an exact replica of other purported charity websites from other scams that had previously targeted other unsuspecting celebrities.
When Bhabie wired back the check, she sent the scammers $0.01, with a message attached in the memo: “SUCK MY D***. LOVE, BHAD BHABIE.”
Let’s hope they don’t catch anyone else up after this one.
