Blueface Named Mariah Carey As His Childhood Crush, And Nick Cannon’s Reaction Is Priceless
After much teasing, Los Angeles rapper Blueface’s debut album, Find the Beat, arrived on Friday (March 13) along with a music video for his single, “Obama” with North Carolina spitter DaBaby. The 23-year-old previously unveiled the track in early February ahead of his album’s release.
Now that his new album is out, Blueface has been making his promotional rounds and recently paid Nick Cannon a visit on his eponymous Power 106 morning radio show. With Blueface in the hot seat, Nick decided to test the young rapper on his sex education mingled in with questions pertaining to his new album.
While on the show, the entertainment mogul also had the “Thotiana” artist reveal who his childhood crush was around the eight-minute mark. When Nick asked him to drop a name, Blueface supplied Christina Milian. Nick had to remind him that she’s married and recently gave birth to her second child, which was a revelation to Blueface. In the ultimate troll move, he then offered up a second name: songbird supreme (and the mother of Nick’s twin children) Mariah Carey.
“This n**gga here,” Nick uttered under his breath in response. He quipped back, “I don’t think she’s single. I’ll look it up for you, though. She got a little dancer boyfriend,” he said, eliciting laughter in the studio. Joking aside, Blueface shared that he’s not really into famous women and prefers to date someone more “regular.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Blueface shared his thoughts on what it was like to work with DaBaby and said it was a “lit” experience. See the hilarious exchange between Blueface and Nick Cannon below:
