50 Cent is the latest to voice his thoughts on Donald Trump’s recent eyebrow-raising remarks suggesting that COVID-19 could possibly be treated with cleaning disinfectants.

  1. “This f*****g guy is a nightmare, but I think I like him. I can't believe he said that s**t out loud. LOL,” he wrote along with a cartoon image of Trump drinking Clorox bleach straight from the bottle. The G-Unit foreman didn’t end there.  In a second tweet, he posted a mock image of “Trump-recommended” Clorox chewables, writing “yo, ya man is crazy LOL.”

West Coast rap icon Snoop Dogg also had some strong words from Trump. “Aight, [you] go first, then ya voters and I’ll be here waiting to [see] how y’all feel before I under my kitchen sink for some bleach,” he wrote on Instagram before his 43 million followers.

  2. Last Thursday (April 23), Trump made the outlandish claims during a press briefing. “I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute,” he claimed. “And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs, does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.”

During that same briefing, he also claimed the virus could be treated with heat or light.

Lysol’s parent company immediately released a statement disputing the claim and warning people against ingesting cleaning products. Following backlash, Trump later claimed that he was being “sarcastic,” according to the New York Times.
