Sisterly duo Ceeradi (pronounced sir-rah-dee) is not your typical sister act. For one thing, Saiyr Gibson and Emaza Gibson always seem to have boundless energy for days.
“Ok, so you step out of the studio and find a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million. What would you spend it on?” Emaza reads a fan question back to her twin. Saiyr doesn’t waste any time to rattle off a laundry list of must-buys she would spend the lump sum on. It doesn’t take long for their goofier sides to come out as the ladies answer fan-generated questions from their “Ceeriders.”
Hailing from Cedar Rapids, the R&B and hip-hop duo has been on their independent grind since they first began uploading videos to YouTube in 2014 — on everything from fashion and beauty to music. In August of 2019, the multi-talented duo signed to Roc Nation. Ceeradi credits staying true to themselves for what’s gotten them to this point in their career. Also, their “twintuition” is very real.
“Don’t let anybody change you from who you are unless it's from growth and you are okay with that,” Saiyr states plain and simple, a sentiment Emaza agreed with.
As for now, Ceeradi is gearing up to drop another EP as a follow-up to 2019’s Ceeradi’s Playlist. See what else they had to say about new music, their quarantine must-haves, sliding into other celebrity’s DMs, the music industry and more on the latest episode of 106&Park Mic Check.
