Megan Thee Stallion Launches Scholarship Fund

The application is open to women of color pursuing a degree across any field of study.

Fresh off the release of her new single, “Don’t Stop” featuring Young Thug, Megan The Stallion has launched a college fund for women of color.

  • Through a new partnership with Amazon Music’s Rap Rotation, the Houston rapper is giving away two $10,000 scholarships to female students of color who are currently pursuing an associates, bachelors or postgraduate degree across any field of study.

"In honor of all the young women out there who don't stop working hard to get their education!" the fund's website reads. "Women remain underrepresented and undervalued in society and female students of color are at a larger disadvantage when it comes to access to financial resources."

  • Interested students can apply by filling out a form wherein they must submit their first name, last name, date of birth, zip code, email, field of study, the institution where they are enrolled, and their year of study. Applicants are also required to submit an essay.

This is a cause close to Megan’s heart as she is currently a student at Texas Southern University where she is completing her bachelor’s degree in health administration. In May, the 25-year-old opened up to PEOPLE about balancing her burgeoning rap career with going to college. Despite the fame, Megan shared that she intends to finish school to honor the example set by her late mother and grandmother.

“I’m doing it for me, but I’m also doing it for the women in my family who made me who I am today,” she told the publication.
