The Only 10 Artists Whose Albums Could Distract Us From #B6

Tired of waiting for #B6? Wait for these albums instead.

The Waiting Game - Ever since Beyoncé’s “Formation” was released, we’ve been on hairpins and needles waiting for the coveted #B6 album. It’s been weeks of waiting, waiting and then some more waiting. It’s nothing, though, compared to waiting for these albums that, at this point, only live in our dreams. Distract yourselves from waiting for #B6 and instead wait for these. Good luck. – Jon Reyes (Photos from Left:Noam Galai/Getty Images, Paul Drinkwater/Network/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images, Ron Galella/WireImage)

Lauryn Hill’s Comeback - It’s been almost 18 years since Ms. Hill’s last studio album (we aren’t counting that Unplugged album as a comeback). While the Grammy winner suffers from chronic lateness, we’ll just count 18 years as a no show. However, with Ms. Hill's recent string of great performances, you never know. It wouldn't be a comeback album at that point. It would be an international holiday. (Photo by Noam Galai/Getty Images)

Dr. Dre's Detox - We can leave this to the album angels, even Dr. Dre scrapped this idea for his 16-years-later follow-up Compton. What happened to Detox? Who knows. At this point, just listen to “Kush” and “I Need a Doctor” and stop thinking about it. Or don’t. It’ll distract you from waiting for #B6. (Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images for Coachella)

Aaliyah’s Posthumous Album by Drake - This one was a doozy. From the moment Drake announced plans to release an Aaliyah album, everyone lost their minds. First off, it wasn’t co-signed by Aaliyah’s family. Second, which made matters worse, Timbaland and Missy Elliot — long time collaborators of the deceased singer — weren’t taking part in producing the album and (sort of) didn’t co-sign it either. The only people on board were Blackground records, Drake and producer Noah “40” Shebib. After social media tore Drake a new one, both the rapper and producer pulled out of the project. If this were greenlit by some sick twist of fate, then #B6 might be temporarily shelved in our minds.(Photos from Left: Paul Drinkwater/Network/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images, Kevin Winter/Getty Images for Coachella)

The Throne Part Deux - We really don’t see this one happening anytime soon, either, but imagine? There really hasn’t been a hint of Jay Z recording outside of those few bars on Drake's "Pop Style." Kanye is busy, well, being Kanye and perpetually tweaking The Life of Pablo. Don’t let us deter you though. Keep waiting, since only Bey's husband can distract us from Bey. (Photo by Kyle Gustafson/For The Washington Post via Getty Images)

Chris Brown & Rihanna joint album  - A joint project like this would have everyone excited...and confused. The confusion would cloud any thoughts of "Formation" lyrics after that. (Photos from Left: Kevin Winter/Getty Images for iHeartMedia, Christopher Polk/Getty Images for CBS Radio Inc.)

Outkast Reunion Album - The super group's last album was the soundtrack to their softly received Idlewild film. Even though they reunited for a string of shows in 2014, André 3000 did go on the record to say he felt like a bit of sellout for reuniting with Big Boi. Going back on his word would be reason enough for us all to stop refreshing the "#B6" search on Google. (Photo by Tim P. Whitby/Getty Images)

Album of Amy Winehouse's Lost Sessions - We did get her Lioness: Hidden Treasures, but there have to be some rare Amy studio sessions somewhere. Dig those up for us and you've got a good few days before we're looking for Beyoncé again. (Photo by Dan Kitwood/Getty Images)

Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole Joint Album - Is it an album? Is it a mixtape? Whatever it is, we’ve been waiting since the top of this year for it. If that project drops before #B6, so will our jaws.(Photos from Left: Gustavo Caballero/Getty Images for Turner, Scott Dudelson/WireImage)

Lost Biggie and Tupac Collaborative Project  - Hey, we just really need a #B6 distraction right about now. Don’t get mad at the impossible dream. (Photos from Left: Ron Galella/WireImage, Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic)

Destiny's Child Reunion Album - Remember that time DC3 performed at the Super Bowl halftime show and then went backstage and recorded an album? Neither do we, but if that happened and that magical project released... OK, OK, wishful thinking. (Photo: Christopher Polk/Getty Images)
