Weddings, Broken Records and Other Music News This Week

What a week!

168 Hours in One Place - This week, it was more than apparent that the Drake and Joe Budden beef is still going strong, especially since Drake fans took it upon themselves to troll Budden in person. Yeah, it didn’t end well. Thankfully, French Montana sat with us for an exclusive interview and cleared some stuff up — though the rumor mill began buzzing about him after we spoke to him. It’s also not a music news week without more trolling and some lies. Oh yeah, there’s also major messy use of social media in this week’s recap. Let’s do it. – Jon Reyes

Here We Are...Again - In what seems to be the longest week in current events — between the Alton Sterling and Philando Castile killings at the hand of local police and the murders of five police officers in Dallas — it’s safe to assume we’re tired of it all. Some of our favorites stood in solidarity as they sent messages that let the world know they stand with the world in shock. Of course, there was also some messy music star news popping off during the week and we’re here to take you through it all. – Jon Reyes(Photo: BET)

R.I.P. Alton and Philando - Music stars reacted to the shootings that resulted in the death due to police violence of two men on separate occasions throughout the week. Beyoncé was one of them, sending out one of the firmest and most informative messages among the music community. Joey Bada$, Drake, Meek Mill, Macklemore and Kelly Rowland were also among those that had something to say.(Photo from left: Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for Logo, Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for TIDAL, Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images, Tim P. I-G-G-WHY - Iggy Azalea sent her legal team after her ex’s baby mama. The letter is pretty venomous and shades Young all the way into the winter season. Yeah, we know, she didn’t write it. It’s still good.(Photo: Matthew Eisman/Getty Images)

Threats, Marriage and Ending Celibacy Vows - Stay with us. Ciara’s afraid Future is going to murder Russell Wilson, point blank. Documents were sent to court in support of her claim. Future, of course, responded with an update on his Twitter. In good news, Ciara and Russell Wilson tied the knot and went on Snapchat to deliver a steamy message. Ciara asked, “So baby, you know what we're doing tonight?” Russell responded with: “From what we did last night, I'm gonna do it multiple times.” Thanks for that, CiCi.(Photos from left: Ethan Miller/Getty Images for New Era, Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images)

Breezy and the Biebs - Maxwell had something to say about making sure he didn’t write music that he’d be ashamed to sing 15 years from now. He managed to bring Chris Brown into that conversation and also talked about how hard it must be for Justin Bieber. Food for thought.(Photos from left: Nicholas Hunt/Getty Images for Sundance Film Festival, Bryan Steffy/Getty Images for Drai's Beachclub-Nightclub)
