Usher - It really is time for Usher to get this show. It’s long overdue. Hopefully with his upcoming album, he’ll actually be considered. #UsherForSuperBowl51(Photo: Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for Live Nation)

Michael Jackson - Yes, MJ isn’t with us anymore. But maybe they can throw some dough at this and actually make a hologram worth freaking out about. Not what we were put through during the 2014 Billboard Awards.(Photo: Kevin Winter/Billboard Awards 2014/Getty Images for DCP)

G.O.O.D. Music Crew - Yes, we know Kanye can carry this show all by himself – but if the whole G.O.O.D. Music crew were on the bil, there'd be something for everyone.(Photo from left: Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images, Frazer Harrison/Getty Images for Coachella, Noam Galai/Getty Images for BET Networks)

Missy Elliott - She basically auditioned for the role last year – and yes, it belongs to her. Let’s just cut it out and give Missy the slot.(Photo: Andrew H. Walker/Getty Images for H&M)

Ja Rule - Don’t leave us. Just hear us out. Radio rap was totally ruled by Ja Rule in the ‘00s and that’s perfect Halftime Show material. Who knows? Maybe Ashanti could also make an appearance. Nevermind, of course she'd be there.(Photo: Lisa Maree Williams/Getty Images)

Outkast - It’s a long shot – if only because reuniting Big Boi and André 3000 seems like an impossible dream. Though, imagining them performing “B.O.B.” at a halftime show is too good to not at least entertain.(Photo: Philipp Schmidli/Getty Images)

Grandmaster Flash, DJ Kool Kerc and Kurtis Blow - With the resurgent popularity of hip-hop history (fictional or otherwise) thanks to shows like The Get Down and The Breaks, if they put together a show with the genre’s architects, their counterparts (yes, that includes Melle Mel) and some new folk sprinkled in, an epic show is sure to ensue.(Photo from left: Al Pereira/WireImage, Brian Ach/Getty Images for Art For Life Gala, Chris McGrath/Getty Images)
