Overwhelmed with her excitement over the moment, the actress hilarious forgot the name of one of her kids.
Anthony Anderson wins outstanding actor in a comedy series
Host Anthony and his mom Doris are ecstatic after winning his eighth NAACP Image Award for his role on the hit comedy series blackish. “I’d like to thank my mama for sleeping with my daddy and making me,” Anderson joked as his mother clutched onto the award.

After snagging the NAAC Image Awards for Outstand Comedy Series, the actress petitioned viewers to campaign for her to host the next award show. Especially since she now has more free time since her hit HBO series Insecure ended with its fifth and final season.

During his opening monologue, nine-time host Anthony Anderson poked fun at several trending topics, including Nick Cannon and what appears to be monthly pregnancy announcements. Anthony joked that at this rate, “if Nick keeps this up, by 2025, we will be the majority.” He also threw jabs at Joe Rogan and his controversy surrounding his use of the N-word and apology.
