The Wayans/Reo project marks the second family comedy starring a Black comedian that ABC has in the works for next season. Cedric the Entertainer also as a sitcom, which starts production next week.

Lopez Series Picked Up

Disney-ABC Intl. Television Latin America has picked up distribution rights to Jennifer Lopez's semi-autobiographical "Como Ama una Mujer" (How a Woman Loves), slated to debut on Univision in the fall.

The five part mini-series stars Chilean actress Leonor Varela as Lopez in the story of her journey to find her true soul-mate; but with her glamorous life and professional success come heartbreak and betrayals that threaten to break her spirit.  The project, filmed entirely in Mexico from Lopez's Nuyorican Prods, was inspired by the lyrics of her first Spanish-language album of the same name released earlier this year. At the end of each episode, the singer/actress will perform the song that inspired that episode.

According to Variety, Disney-ABC Intl. Television will distribute the mini-series on all TV platforms in Latin America including VOD, PPV, basic cable and free to air.
