Posted May 8, 2008 -- Talk about a change in scenery. Actor Tristan Wilds, who starred in two seasons of HBO's critically-acclaimed series "The Wire," will move from the drug-infested streets of Baltimore to glitzy Southern California as the newest cast member of the CW's revamped "Beverly Hills, 90210," reports EUR.

The actor will play Dixon, the adopted son of the Mills family, which consists of drunken grandmother Tabitha Mills (Jessica Walter), Jessica's daughter-in-law Celia (Lori Loughlin) and her granddaughter Annie (Shenae Grimes). The family has moved to Beverly Hills because of Tabitha's alcoholism.

Wilds, 19, is best known for his breakout role as promising student-turned-Baltimore drug dealer Michael Lee in the final two seasons of "The Wire."

No More "Dancing" for Mario

Mario, 22, and his partner Karina Smirnoff were in the bottom two with NFL star Jason Taylor and his professional partner Edyta Sliwinska before the axe dropped this week on "Dancing With the Stars." After telling the crowd, “I’ve had a great time, a great partner and great competition,” the R&B star said: “Len, thank you for all the comments you made. Ultimately, you helped me become a better ballroom dancer. The comment about me being an inspiration to young people, I want to say that the real great ones are the young men and women fighting for our country…I had a ball. Thank you guys.”
