Yesterday, reported that Ne-Yo had landed a starring role in the new film Red Tails. Produced by legendary Star Wars creator George Lucas and directed by Anthony Hemingway (HBO's The Wire and Treme), Red Tails explores the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the legendary group of Black pilots who fought with distinction during World War II, despite deep-seated racism both in and out of the military, which was still segregated at the time. The film features a large ensemble cast that also includes Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr., Bryan Cranston, Method Man and Tristan Wilds. And now, gearing up for the film’s January 2012 release, Lucasfilms has leaked the impressive trailer, which shows off the movie’s all-star cast and fast-paced, CGI-fueled dogfight scenes.
