Kevin Hart is on a roll!

Fresh off the success of his debut stand-up film Laugh at My Pain, the funnyman has inked a deal to guest star on ABC’s Emmy Award-winning show Modern Family.

EW reports that Hart’s set to play Andre, a physician and new neighbor of Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) and Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen). No word yet on how many episodes the comedian will film.

Hart found box office victory when Laugh at My Pain debuted inside the top 10 ranking and pulled in nearly $2 million (it only cost $750, 000) to make. He cracked us up as the host of the 2011 BET Awards, has held down several Comedy Central specials and also has credits in films including Little Fockers and Soul Plane — in which Modern Family series star Sofia Vergara also appeared.

Hart has a string of other promising upcoming projects on his plate, including a major role in Think Like a Man, a comedy based on Steve Harvey’s best-selling 2009 book Act Like a Lady. He will also appear in the Judd Apatow-produced comedy Five Year Engagement.
