Multi-platinum selling and BET award winner Chris Brown has sharpened his acting skills in films like 2010’s Takers, starring Idris Elba, T.I. and Michael Ealy, and Stomp the Yard with Columbus Short in 2007.

Added to his Hollywood resume will be a new film called Planet B Boy. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film is based on an award-winning documentary, of the same name, on the international appeal of breakdancing.

Producers of the film tell the Hollywood Reporter, the film "is about an all-star American b-boy crew training to compete in France at the Battle of the Year (BOTY) International Championships. After a decade of defeat, the crew and their coach must go up against the best and greatest b-boys in the world."

Planet B Boy also stars Laz Alonso and Lost’s bad boy Josh Holloway. The website says filming will take place in Los Angeles and Montpellier, France.
