Time for Viola Davis to get ready for the red carpet, and the awards stage. The actress, who is getting major golden statue buzz for her portrayal of Aibileen Clark in The Help, just scored her first honor as Outstanding Performer of the Year by the Santa Barbara Film Festival, reports Shadow & Act.

The tribute will be celebrated on January 27 at the Arlington Theater in the coastal California town, just one month before the Academy Awards. Last year's honor went to James Franco.
