Is Kim Kardashian ready to graduate from reality star to bona fide actress? The New York Post reports that Kim is looking to take the next step in her career by getting herself a sitcom deal. Though plans for a half-hour scripted comedy are in the "early stages," she has set her sights high. “She really wants to be the next Sofia Vergara," says a source.

Kim, who recently completed a stint on 30 Rock and a small-but-controversial part in Tyler Perry's The Marriage Counselor, is reportedly eyeing the move to scripted comedy as a way to stay ahead of her famous family. “Acting is something she wants to do just for her,” says one source. “Kim wants to do something that wouldn’t involve her sisters.”

Meanwhile, another Kardashian is, surprisingly, looking for a break from the spotlight. Khloé Kardashian and hubby Lamar Odom are planning to "pull the plug" on their reality spin-off Khloé and Lamar, sources tell TMZ.

Insiders say the couple, who have weathered a turbulent year during which NBA player Lamar was dumped by both the LA Lakers and Dallas Mavericks, "have decided (Lamar) should train" and Khloé is "exhausted from filming!" They landed in New York today to spend time with Odom's daughter from a previous relationship, Destiny.

"They just want to go on their honeymoon and take a breather," the source says, noting that the pair, who had a whirlwind wedding after thirty days of dating two-and-a-half years ago, never had the time to take a vacation together since they tied the knot.

A rep for the NBA wife clarified the rumors by telling People, “[Khloé & Lamar] has NOT been cancelled. It’s just on hold now while schedules are figured out. It will depend on their schedules, as Lamar’s basketball schedule is a priority.”

Still, is reporting that momager Kris Jenner, who represents both Khloé and Lamar, is not happy that two of her prize ponies want to lay low. She is apparently trying to convince the couple to re-up for a third season.
