No summer vacation for Hollywood's hardest-working stars.

While the rest of us are getting ready for the beach, Morgan Freeman, Isaiah Washington, Anthony Mackie and Evan Ross will be reporting to set for a slew of exciting new films.

First up, Washington joins Underworld's Kate Beckinsale for the drama The Trials of Cate McCall, about a "former hotshot prosecutor who threw her career away when she became an addict." Between that and a happy ending, she "takes on the appeal of a wrongly convicted murderess" and "battles crooked cops, a broken system, and her own demons."

Nick Nolte and James Cromwell also star in the film, which seems to have all the trappings of an awards contender.

Up-and-comer Evan Ross, who recently starred in suspense thriller 96 Minutes, sticks to his indie roots with Squatters, which tells the story of "a young homeless couple in Venice Beach who move into a mansion in Pacific Palisades. When the owners come home early from vacation, things get complicated."

Morgan Freeman shows no signs of slowing down. The Oscar winner joins Michael Douglas and Robert DeNiro for bucket list comedy Last Vegas, about three friends who reunite in Sin City for a last big weekend to celebrate the only one of them who has remained single. Freeman plays an Army veteran who looks to escape the watchful eyes of his son and daughter-in-law and accompany his best friends on a trip to Vegas in the flick.

And lastly, Anthony Mackie is about ready to add to his already-packed résumé with another high-profile gig. The Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter star is in talks to join Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake for Runner Runner, a thriller about online gamblers. Timberlake plays a college student who, after losing his tuition money playing online poker, flies to Costa Rica to get it back from the site's billionaire owner (Affleck). Mackie will play an FBI agent who has been hot on Affleck's trail for years.

All of the films are set to roll out at various dates in the fall. is your #1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
