Script will be penned by original TLAM writing team.

It was only a matter of time, but Screen Gems has finally made it official that there will be a sequel to their sleeper hit Think Like a Man.

The studio is bringing back the writing team behind the original Think Like a Man, Keith Merryman and David A. Newman, but hasn't confirmed whether director Tim Story or the film's cast, including stand-out star Kevin Hart, will return, though it's hard to imagine a follow-up to the romantic comedy without the strength of its original cast.

No word either on what direction the sequel will take from a story perspective, though the Act Like a Lady part of Steve Harvey's best-selling book was left largely untouched in the original adaptation.

Think Like a Man was a surprising hit for Screen Gems, grossing $91 million and barely squeaking by the studio's previous highest-grossing film, Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail. is your #1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
