Two new reality TV shows just lured a few more celebrities into primetime.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Vivica A. Fox will host Prank My Mom for Lifetime. The hidden camera comedy series will feature sons and daughters targeting their moms for pranks that will include blind dates from hell and much, much more. You’ll be seeing lots of the Curb Your Enthusiasm star in her new role as hostess; 10 episodes of Prank My Mom have already been ordered and the show will first be previewed along with Project Runway (check your local listings.)
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has conquered the wrestling ring and movies to television had to be next.
Deadline is reporting that Johnson will serve as mentor and motivator for the new reality competition series The Hero. The TNT show will bring 10 contestants together in house and pit them against one another in missions that test brains, brawn and morality. The Hero, executive produced by Johnson and his ex-wife, Dany Garcia, has already received an eight-episode commitment for next year. It promises to challenge participants’ personal limits to see what they are able to overcome, undergo and sacrifice for their fellow contestants. Only then can one player be declared a true hero.
In a statement Johnson said, “The Hero speaks to everything I believe in when it comes to challenging ourselves, to becoming better people every day and to making the right choices while growing from the wrong ones.”
