Chad Johnson is finally ready to face the music, at least as far as his divorce is concerned.

The NFL free agent filed for divorce from Evelyn Lozada after weeks of refusing to sign papers served by his estranged ex. Johnson filed his own divorce papers on Thursday, citing that the marriage is "irretrievably broken" just as Lozada did in her divorce docs, which she filed on August 14.

According to TMZ, Lozada is said to be "ecstatic" and ready to move on from the relationship. The couple's split stems from a vicious fight in early August, barely a month after their lavish wedding, which started with Lozada's discovery of a receipt for condoms in Johnson's car and ended with a head-butt and jail time for the former Miami Dolphins player.

Johnson, however, is not so quick to accept the charge of misdemeanor battery slapped on him by the Broward County, Florida, state attorney's office. He has answered "not guilty" to the charges.
