Real Housewives Cast Members Salaries Revealed

PLUS: Tami Roman promises no more drama for Basketball Wives Season 5.

The secret is out on the salaries of Bravo’s Real Housewives cast members and it turns out NeNe Leakes isn’t as rich as she thought she was. Radar Online is reporting courtesy of Star Magazine that Teresa Giudice is the top earner of all the women in the franchise. The diva of The Real Housewives of New Jersey rakes in $600,000 per season. The RHNJ is also the most watched among all the series. The Garden State incarnation of the popular brand enjoys an audience of three million viewers.

Two of the wives of The Real Housewives of New York rank as the second-highest paid. Countess LuAnn de Lesseps and Ramona Singer each earn $500,00 per season. Both women received raises, which doubled their earnings, after castmates Alex McCord and Jill Zarin were released from the show.

Vicki Gunvalson, the only original cast member from Orange County’s eight seasons, brings in a cool $450,000 a season. Finally, NeNe Leakes, of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, brings in $350,00 per season. Leakes's popularity with viewers and American Horror Story show creator Ryan Murphy helped her to branch out to a co-starring role on NBC’s The New Normal and a recurring role on Glee. To date, NeNe has accumulated a net worth of $4.5 million.

Basketball Wives star Tami Roman is offering the scoop on what viewers can expect in Season 5: no more drama. She says the show will now focus more on positivity.

“People are really going to be surprised at the approach we’re going to take this season because it’s more family-oriented, not as much drama,” says Roman. “What you’ve seen in past seasons was real, but that’s not how our lives are 98 percent of the time. We’re excited to show you more than just the drama.”

She also added, “I’m a busy mom and I have a new show coming out and I’m focused on that. I’m really a loving person and you’ll see that on Season 5.”

In addition to the softer and kinder version of Basketball Wives, other show changes include firings and hirings. Jennifer Williams, Royce Reed and Kesha Nichols have all been axed, while Brandi Garnett (wife of Kevin Garnett), Tasha Marbury (spouse of Stephon Marbury) and Hope Alexa (baby mother of Dwight Howard) are all filling in as their cast replacements. is your #1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
